Sherie and Cathy
welcome you to HiLEK DESiGNS, Hats of Empowerment.
Our unique hats are creatively designed for cancer
patients who may be facing hair loss.
The color coordinated beads dangle from the back of
these cancer patient hats to symbolize lost hair and
the embroidered lettering, Hats of Empowerment
encourages strength to fight the beast.
Sherie and her good friend, Cathy, founded Hats of
Empowerment after Sherie was diagnosed with ovarian
cancer in 2004 and lost her hair during chemotherapy
treatment. Sherie and Cathy create headwear for
cancer patients and jewelry that compliments the
beaded hats. Each hat is hand beaded with care and
individuality for you and your loved ones.
Sherie and Cathy believe that their hats are an
essential part of a well-rounded cancer support
system.
Hats of
Empowerment are proudly worn by
ovarian cancer survivors as well as people afflicted
with other types of cancers.
Sherie and Cathy's hats come in styles and colors
that men enjoy wearing, as well as supporter hats
for family and friends. All proceeds from the sale
of
Hats of
Empowerment are donated to the Oregon
Health Science University (OHSU) in Portland,
Oregon, and are designated directly to Dr. Tonja
Pejovic, one of the nation's leading researchers for
ovarian cancer. |
